Yes, Reduction -- both in pounds and STASH!! I am determined to use up what I have, make the quilts that are in my head and stay out of the stores!! My enabler friends ( and you know who you are! LOL ) are just going to have to understand !!
So, guess I will keep a thingy on the side of my blog to keep track of it.
Judy Laquidara has a great blog for helping with this http://www.patchworktimes.com/stashbusting-in-2009/ and she even has a pledge that I printed out and will hang right next to my sexy guy picture ( we can go into THAT later! ). But, I have to use it... I have no desire to win the prize for having the most fabric! Guess I'll start thinking about what my rules are going to be --

WE can do this together.
Accountability helps.
I was in JoAnns last week and looked, but didn't see anything I couldn't live without, so I didn't buy anything but the silver fabric for the ironing board.
You can do it!!!
Is he posed on the kitchen table??
No more trips to Golden D'Or huh? I'm with you!
I joined Judy's group! I'm on the Stash busting blog ring and everything. I made my first report for the first half week of the year. I'm pretty pathetic! Already down 6.75 yards! It is giving me incentive to finish the quilt and count the fabric as busted though!
I am so excited for you all!!! This *IS* an acomplishment for sure! WOO HOO!!!
Hey, I'd pay for shipping if you need to donate your fabric to a new quilter who's a missionary with no budget to buy fabric!!! I am making quilts for my family and I also make quilts for baby dedications, orphanages, and hospitals. We have a small group here (in Guatemala) that meet when we can to make these and give away. I'll be in the states in April, i can pick it up and bring it back with me. So you'd only have to ship it to Florida! What do you say? We take all pieces, scraps, and what not!
