Question -- I'm curious about the ETSY site, where you can buy and sell handmade items. It's here at http://www.etsy.com/. Has anyone sold anything on this site? Have you ever bought anything here? The photography of the items are great and I saw some really cute things.
It would be nice to sell some of the things that I want to make -- family only wants so many quilts!
If you know anything PLEASE leave a comment -- I'm sure everyone is curious.

I spent a while browsing thru ETSY this morning looking at some quilts. Just in the quilt catagory there were over 2000 listings! I saw some really wonderful ones and some not to great. My worry is, will anyone take the time to wade through all those listings? I have heard of this site before but do not know of anyone who has actually sold anything there.

I have a quilting store there but don't use it. No one wants to buy quilts sight unseen. Plus, depending on your state rules you may be considered a small business and have to pay taxes and get a business license..that's partly why I don't use it. (They don't tell you that on their site)
I have bought soap there and haven't had a problem.
I haven't bought anything yet...but there are so many things I would like to buy. One of my blog friends, Lauren, has an etsy store and she sells out often. I think it's a great site to support buying handmade.
